Ask a Librarian

Reference Department

Marshall Public Library reference staff answers factual questions that can be located in resources such as almanacs, dictionaries, directories, encyclopedias, and the internet. If the answer cannot be found, a reliable referral will be provided where possible.

When contacting the department with a query, please describe as completely as possible the question or information to be researched. Include the who, what, when, where, and why of the question. If you are requesting a copy of an obituary, include a full name, date of death or burial, where the death or burial occurred, etc. If you are working with a deadline, please give us a cut-off date or time. Include all information necessary for us to respond back, such as your name, address, phone number, email, and/or fax number. We can fax up to 10 pages of information.
